Teaching

Hello there! I am presently Cello Tutor at Worksop College & Ranby House and String Ensemble Tutor for the North East Lincolnshire Music Hub. I predominantly teach Cello 1:1 from Beginner to Grade 8. I also teach Music Theory, Flute and Piano from Beginner to Grade 5.

You can read about my Cello education and experience on my biography here. I specialised in Cello performance but have Grade 8 Flute with Distinction and studied the Piano up to Grade 7 standard. 

I live in Tuxford, Newark and teach here privately most days. I also teach one evening a week in my hometown in Cleethorpes/Grimsby and have a handful of private students here. I use the United Reformed Church in Grimsby, the cost is slightly higher here as I have to hire the church. All prices can be seen below.

I am very passionate about Music education and believe it is important to inspire the next generation. I am currently completing a PGCEi with Music Masters and always strive to become a better teacher. 

Discounts are available to children from underprivileged backgrounds and low income families, please contact to negotiate a fair price. Lessons are also available for mature students. 

I have a selection of Cellos available to hire for no cost if you choose to study with me, insurance must be paid by the student or guardian to cover any damage. Sizes of Cellos available: 1/8 (5 - 6 years old), 1/4 (6 - 7 years old), 1/2 (8 - 10 years old), 3/4 (11 - 13 years old) & 4/4 (14+ years old).
